I immediately removed the tint from the hatch and worked on getting more vinyl cut for the stripes so it wouldn't look so bad. The previous owner had removed the original stripes because they cracked and left a black spider web pattern across them.

“I'm never striping another car with wide strips of vinyl - period.”

In the articles section, you can read how the job of striping the car went and maybe help convince you to have your stripes or whatever you'd like to put on your car painted on. With 12 3/4" stripes, getting them to lay down smoothly on anything but the hood and roof, was a serious task.

The only time I've had problems with the car was shortly after I bought it. Two weeks after I picked it up, the clutch disc shattered and it left me on the side of the road until we could trailer it back to the shop. Shortly after that, the front brakes were almost down to the metal and had to be replaced ASAP. The car had Bonez racing pads on it and I replaced them with a set of cheap parts-house brakes. The difference was phenomenal. I don't think I'll ever own another car without racing pads on it.
