spacer This is the story of my seven. My first ride in a 2nd Gen RX-7 was in an 8 second 1/8th mile TurboII with dead trailing plugs. Needless to say, I was quite impressed with the potential of the rotary.

I purchased my GTU from a friend who had it up for sale after buying a 90 TII. He had talked about doing a TII conversion on this car before he sold it, but never got around to it. The car is in excellent shape except for a few minor dings and some faded carpet.

With the exception of the cone air filter and electric fan, this car looks showroom new under the hood. Every hose, wire and relay is exactly where it should be, and after a light cleanup job under the hood, everything was sparkling again.

What really impressed me about the car was the fact that it was a normally aspirated 1.3L rotary that literally walked away from my old 1978 280z that had a header, exhaust, and from what I'm told - an aftermarket cam.

When I purchased the car, it was no beauty queen, but it wasn't a beater either. The biggest thing wrong with the car visually was you could see where the original "SS" stripes were and the tint in the rear hatch was horrible. Peeling, bubbling, coming off in places, you name it.
